Mindset Dimensions™: a clearer look at what’s driving the pattern

You can know you’re overthinking, taking on too much or struggling to say no without necessarily knowing why you keep ending up back in the same place.

That’s where I use the Mindset Dimensions Report™.

I’ve been a certified Mindset Dimensions Practitioner since 2023, and every BLAZE Your Trail client completes the questionnaire as part of our work together.

It gives us a structured snapshot of how you’re thinking and operating right now, so we’re not spending the first few sessions guessing, mulling over the same issue or relying entirely on what feels most urgent that week.

We have something concrete to work with.

What is the Mindset Dimensions Report?

Mindset Dimensions is a psychometric profiling tool designed specifically for mindset work.

You complete a set of online assessments, usually taking around 10-15 minutes, and the resulting report covers several areas that influence how you think, decide, and behave.

These include things like:

  • your beliefs about yourself and what you think is possible

  • your values and what genuinely matters to you

  • behavioural preferences and how you tend to respond to situations

  • motivation

  • self-efficacy and self-esteem

  • emotional patterns

  • how you process and communicate information

The value isn’t in giving you another label to carry around; it’s in spotting the connections.

For example, you might know you keep saying yes when you want to say no. The report may help us see whether that is tied to a belief about being dependable, a need to avoid disappointing people, a particular behavioural preference, or a value that has quietly become overextended.

That gives us somewhere useful to start.

Why I use it in BLAZE Your Trail

I work with capable women, which means most of my clients are already very self-aware and have spent a fair amount of time thinking about why they do what they do.

The problem is that self-awareness doesn’t always show you the whole picture.

There are patterns you’ve repeated for so long that they simply feel normal.

  • Being the one who sorts it.

  • Preparing twice as much as everyone else.

  • Second-guessing a perfectly reasonable decision.

  • Feeling responsible for someone else’s reaction.

  • Taking something back because it’s easier to do it yourself.

The Mindset Dimensions Report gives us another lens on those patterns.

Instead of assuming the issue is confidence, boundaries, motivation or time management, we can look at what may be sitting underneath it and decide where our attention will make the biggest difference.
