Manifesto

Blaze Your Trail

A manifesto for ambitious women who lead but are tired of the β€˜invisible tax’

A woman with curly blonde hair and blue eyes holding a white mug with the text 'Mindset is Everything' covers her mouth, revealing only her eyes. The background has framed artwork on the wall.

You’re not burned out because you’re broken. You’re burned out because the game is rigged.

YOU. ARE. DONE.

Done with advice that assumes you have spare time.
Done with being told to β€˜just slow down’ by people who’ve never carried a full workload and a full mental load.
Done with being the capable one.
Done with the Oscar-winning performance of being β€˜fine’.

Because you always deliver. You think ten steps ahead. You notice what everyone else misses. Your standards are high and you keep the show on the road.

Which is why everyone thinks: She can handle it.

And that’s how it happens.

You become the person who β€˜just sorts it’.
You’re the one who rewrites the email three times so nobody gets offended.
The one who prepares for the meeting as if their life depended on it.
The one who notices the risk before anyone else does, and magically fixes it before it turns into a drama.

And then you get rewarded with… more.

More responsibility. Higher expectations. Emotional labour. More scrutiny.

There’s even less room to be human.
You’re tired in a way that a good night’s sleep doesn’t fix.

You’ve been the CEO of all the jobs for too long β€” and it shows.

No. You’re not β€˜bad at coping’.

You did what all responsible women do: you stepped up. You held it together. You kept going… and somewhere along the way, the world started charging you for being a safe pair of hands.

How it shows up

You might be nodding along to this if…

  • You’re β€˜senior’ on paper, but still expected to be agreeable, available, and bulletproof.

  • You’re managing a team’s emotions, stakeholder politics, and impossible timelines - calmly, of course, no time for β€˜hysterics’.

  • You’re judged harder and forgiven less (double standards are a real thing).

  • You’re doing brilliant work while secretly questioning yourself ALL. THE. TIME.

Overload + Overthinking + Invisible pressure to be endlessly competent = BURNOUT!

The problem isn’t you…

There’s a reason this feels so hard.

You were sold a β€˜Good Girl manual’ that assumes you have endless capacity: be helpful, be pleasant, be organised, keep going, don’t make a fuss.

So when you start struggling, the message is nearly always the same: work on yourself harder. Be more resilient. Be more organised. Be more positive.

But the problem isn’t you. It’s the rules of the game.

This isn’t about men being the villain. It’s about a system that keeps asking women to be exceptional and be silent about the cost.

That β€˜invisible tax’ is the extra weight you carry for free: the emotional labour, the constant pressure to be reliable and likeable, the mental load, and the fallout that appears the second you dare to have a life of your own - kids, care, peri/menopause, grief, illness, limits, actual human needs!!!

What I Stand For

I stand for women telling the truth about what all this is costing them - not just brushing it off, not minimising it, and thinking that being constantly β€˜wired and tired’ is part of being a grown-up.

I stand for sticking to your boundaries without the long explanation afterwards.

I stand for women leading, doing well, and wanting more without losing their personality, their sanity, or themselves in the process.

And I stand for women having notions about themselves - and acting on them.

What I Stand Against

I’m not interested in fluffy empowerment or in helping women meditate their way around unfairness.

Let’s be honest: the bar is already on the floor. Women are still expected to be calm, kind and competent while bearing the brunt of all the jobs.

You may not feel it as rage. Sometimes it’s frustration, resentment, or a low-level sense of injustice niggling away at the back of your mind.

This work is about giving your feelings a job: a direction, a plan.

Not just endure it, but be effective.

How I Help

BLAZE Your Trail is coaching for women who are trying to lead, work, care, cope, and keep going -usually all at the same time.

This is not about positive vibes or pretending you’re fine when you’re clearly not.

It’s about clearing the mental overwhelm, rebuilding self-trust, and helping you make decisions that actually fit your life.

We work in focused 90-day cycles to:

  • reduce mental load

  • make informed decisions

  • strengthen boundaries

  • build self-trust

  • create change that actually fits your life

We use your real work and your real life as the blueprint.

No pointless homework.
No pretending you’re ok when you’re hanging on by a thread.

I’m Lynsey.

I’m here to help you clear the noise, steady your confidence, and protect your limited capacity.

Bring the anger.
Bring the sadness.
Bring the β€˜what the actual fuck?’

We’ll get it out of your system β€” and then use it to decide what happens next.

My Pledge to You

I’m not here to sell you fantasies.

No β€˜just be more confident’ crap without practical support.

No pretending that mindset work is somehow separate from the conditions you’re living in.

I will help you see what is yours to change, what was never yours to carry, and how to move forward without abandoning yourself in the process.

We will take note of your life stage, your work, your caring load, and your actual capacity, and still make things happen.

You don’t need to be louder.
You need to be clearer.
You need to back yourself.

Blaze Your Trail

The hustle culture bullsh*t has had its day.

This is leadership without the invisible tax.
This is ambition without losing yourself.
This is doing what matters without disappearing in the process.

Blaze Your Trail. Not theirs. Yours.
