Fun, fashion and creating a sustainable brand with Nicki Hoyne

Episode 52 is here, and I'm so excited to get yet another fab guest on the show - this time it's all about fashion!

Kilkenny native Nicki Hoyne started her career with Diageo, Nintendo, Marc Jacobs and Calvin Klein in Dublin, London and Australia. She founded award winning online accessories store, My Shining Armour, in 2014. Nicki combined her love of fashion and innovation to create the Irish success story. She also wanted to learn where products came from and their effects on our planet. She began researching how she could create more meaningful fashion accessories that were still fun and beautiful but most importantly, sustainable.

From this love of fun, fashion and all things sustainable, she launched her own bespoke range through her new business, the Nicki Hoyne Collection.

We chat all things pivoting in business, sustainability and maintaining that positive attitude in life and business including:

- Nicki's early days in business and the advice that resonated with her the most when starting out

- How Nicki maintains her positive energy and attitude even when she has setbacks in her business

- Knowing when it's time to pivot in business

- The importance of sustainability and ethically sourcing materials for businesses, now and in the future

- The advice Nicki would give to someone who would love to create their own fashion range but aren't sure where to start

- Nicki's best (and worst!) nuggets of advice and her fantastic book recommendations!

You can find Nicki's amazing creations online at www.nickihoyne.com and also at Arnott's, Henry Street, Dublin, and in Wolf and Badger stores in London and New York (and their online store!).

Also join her newsletter at www.nickihoyne.com to keep up to date for all the latest insider info!
